Responsibilities:
Develop LV, MV, and HV single-line diagrams for power generation systems
Design generator paralleling schemes and protection settings
Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings
Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and arc flash studies
Specify electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and protection systems
Review vendor documentation and utility interconnection requirements
Support commissioning activities and electrical equipment start-up
Collaborate with customers, contractors, utilities, and internal engineering teams throughout project execution
Requirements:
Hold current P.Eng. registration in a Canadian province
Possess at least five years of power system design experience
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
Understand power generation systems and synchronizing controls
Apply experience with LV, MV, and HV power distribution systems
Design power distribution, protection, control, and motor control systems
Utilize AutoCAD Electrical and power system analysis software such as ETAP
Bring exposure to utility environments, power generation, or related infrastructure projects
