Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Drilling and Completions Engineer in the Oil & Gas Exploration & Production in .
Join a growing upstream oil and gas company where you'll play a key role in planning, designing, executing, and optimising drilling, completions, and well intervention programs across heavy oil and Clearwater assets. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll combine technical engineering expertise, data analytics, operational execution, and commercial stewardship to improve well performance, reduce costs, and support long-term asset growth.
Total rewards:
$125000.00 - $150000.00 annually
Earn a competitive base salary of $125,000-$150,000 based on experience

Influence drilling and completions technology and AI adoption strategies
Work on diverse heavy oil, Clearwater, multi-lateral and emerging thermal projects
Gain exposure to capital planning, asset development and executive-level decision making

A typical day:
Plan, design and execute drilling, completion and well intervention programs
Optimise well designs to improve performance, capital efficiency and cost per metre
Prepare AFEs, cost estimates and technical input for capital planning activities
Monitor drilling and completion performance against budget, schedule and objectives
Perform post-well reviews and implement lessons learned into future programs
Apply data analytics and AI tools to identify optimisation and cost reduction opportunities
Coordinate service providers and technical vendors throughout project execution
Collaborate with engineering, operations, geoscience and land teams to maximise asset value
Successful candidates will have:
Hold an Engineering Degree or Diploma with P.Eng., C.E.T. or P.Tech designation
Bring 7-12 years of drilling and completions engineering experience in Canada
Demonstrate experience with cold multi-lateral open-hole drilling programs
Possess strong technical drilling analysis, optimisation and lookback experience
Maintain a valid Second Line Supervisor Well Control certification
Understand Alberta and Saskatchewan regulatory requirements and industry practices
Demonstrate proficiency with engineering and business analytics software including Power BI and Microsoft 365
Exhibit strong communication, commercial awareness, problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety
