Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Workday Payroll, Time & Absence Functional Lead in the Utilities in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta. We are seeking a seasoned Workday Payroll, Time & Absence Functional Lead to support a multi-year ERP harmonization initiative within the energy sector. This project aims to streamline financial systems across a mid-sized organization of approximately 3,000 employees. Responsibilities: Lead Workday Payroll, Time Tracking and Absence workstream as part of the ERP harmonization program. Act as the primary functional advisor on Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence best practices. Drive design decisions, identify risks, and recommend scalable solutions aligned with the organization’s existing Workday configuration Assess existing payroll, time, and absence configurations and determine opportunities for reuse. Assist with development of Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence testing strategies and scenarios. Partner with integration teams to assess impacts to upstream and downstream systems. Successful candidates will have: 8+ years of Workday functional experience with expertise in Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence. Deep functional knowledge of Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence, with the ability to advise on best practices, process optimization, and scalable solution design. Experience supporting Workday workstreams within large-scale ERP, business transformation, or system harmonization initiatives. Proven ability to lead requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and stabilization activities across complex, cross-functional programs. Experience assessing the impact of upstream and downstream systems, integrations, and business processes within a broader enterprise landscape.
