Policy and Legislative Services leads and supports key strategic initiatives that further the vision and goals of Alberta's health system, particularly the acute care sector, and supports the division and department to advance priorities and achieve desired outcomes.
The Ministry of Hospitals and Surgical Health Services is building a more resilient and sustainable health care delivery system that can support Albertans getting care when and where they need it, while responding to system-wide health challenges, improving health outcomes and maintaining fiscal responsibility. The Senior Policy Advisor provides leadership and neutral, unbiased strategic advice on emerging issues and strategic initiatives. The position works across the department and within the division to strengthen the quality and strategic alignment of initiatives with ministry priorities and expectations.

A university graduation in a related field, including but not limited to Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, Social Sciences or Health Sciences, plus at least four years of progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.
