Job Ad: Tester
Duration: April 2025 – May 2026, with potential two 6 month extensions
Location: Primarily Onsite in Regina, followed by a hybrid work model, working 2 days per week onsite.
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week), Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
Altis Technology is seeking a Tester for a contract opportunity with one of our Public Sector clients in Regina, SK.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct testing for data conversion and migration for Legacy and Target Applications.
- Create and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
- Document and report test results and deviations.
- Manage and track test plans, test cases, and bugs using JIRA.
- Collaborate with vendors and product owners to resolve issues.
- Communicate test progress and results to stakeholders.
- Update test documentation as needed throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving testing processes.
- Develop and execute advanced SQL queries to validate database results.
- Support business users during SIT, UAT, Dry Runs, and Production.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of direct experience in system testing for large and complex IT projects.
- Experience in testing complex data migration projects.
- Proficient in JIRA for test management and bug tracking.
- Advanced SQL skills for database validation.
- Solid understanding of MS SQL and Oracle databases.
- Strong interpersonal, management, and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
