Total rewards: $35.00 - $45.00 hourly Contract Length: 9 Months Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) Location: Downtown, Calgary Opportunity to gain experience with a diverse portfolio of energy and midstream assets Hands-on experience with various finance and operational applications A typical day: Perform full-cycle production accounting for assigned facilities with varying levels of complexity Verify and reconcile terminal receipts, dispositions, and production volumes Balance facility production and identify discrepancies requiring investigation Analyze production data, including metering variances, shrinkage, gas analysis, and liquid recoveries Manage customer and marketing allocations and splits (APMC) Prepare and submit production reporting, including Petrinex reporting activities where applicable Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to resolve accounting and operational inquiries Prepare accurate customer invoices and validate contract terms related to assigned properties and services Successful candidates will have: 1-3 years of production accounting experience or related oil and gas accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered Strong understanding of production accounting processes, facility balancing, and production reporting Experience supporting facilities such as multi-well gas batteries, multi-well oil batteries, gas plants, terminals, gathering systems, compressor stations, or other upstream/midstream assets Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Petrinex reporting, including validation, reconciliation, and submission of production data Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills with the ability to identify and resolve volume discrepancies Familiarity with Petrotranz, JDE FFVM, Power BI, or similar industry applications would be an asset This posting is for an active opening.
