Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Indigenous Relations Lead in the pipeline industry in a hybrid work environment in Waterdown, Ontario. This position will liaise with a diverse group of stakeholders including southern Ontario First Nations. A variety of responsibilities include preparing and delivering briefing materials and presentations tailor to the various audiences both internally and externally. On-site field representation at various sites across southern Ontario. This role requires frequent travel along the pipeline and to communities in Ontario. Total rewards: $136000.00 - $151000.00 annually hybrid work model Contract - Opportunity for extension or permanent placement Preferred rates for benefit coverage available A typical day: Relationship Management: continue to build constructive relationships between the company and Nations with land interests in southern Ontario Consultation and Engagement: co-lead formal consultations processes; maintain and foster all agreements and memorandums of understanding. Archaeology: Coordinate archeological assessments to support the Indigenous Relations program and the execution of planned pipeline work (e.g. integrity work, capital projects). Includes, coordinating consultants, managing various AA projects in various stages, report reviews Document Management- logging and coordinating archeological reports Successful candidates will have: 5 + years experience working in emergency management within the energy sector (e.g. oil and gas, natural gas liquids, downstream) 5 + years experience in Indigenous Relations Preferred: Indigenous Studies, Law, Environmental Science Detailed knowledge of emergency preparedness Excellent delivery of presentations and navigating challenging conversations and complex information Experience developing policies and procedures related to public and industrial safety and emergency management. Certifications: IMS/ICS 300 required Process and maintain a valid Ontario Driver’s License. This posting is for an active opening.
