We are currently seeking Security Guard to support operations within LPS Impound Lot Facility. This respected, high‑responsibility role is essential in ensuring safety, security, and operational continuity.

About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the impound lot facility. Duties include conducting regular foot and vehicle patrols, monitoring site activity, controlling access, inspecting impounded vehicle storage areas, enforcing site regulations, responding to incidents and emergencies, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service to authorized visitors, contractors, and stakeholders. You will play a key role in safeguarding impounded vehicles, property, and facility assets.

What You Bring
  • Valid Alberta Security License
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Certification or willingness to obtain
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent verbal, written, and reading comprehension in English
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
  • Strong observation, documentation, and report-writing skills
  • Basic computer proficiency for incident reporting and record keeping
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver's abstract is considered an asset
  • Military, RCMP, law enforcement, or military family experience is considered a strong asset

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
  • Ability to perform regular foot and vehicle patrols throughout the impound lot facility
  • Ability to navigate large outdoor storage areas and uneven surfaces
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs when required

Working Conditions
  • Full-time position with shifts that may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays
  • Work performed in a secured impound lot environment with controlled public access
  • Frequent outdoor patrols in varying weather conditions
  • Exposure to situations requiring sound judgment, attention to detail, and quick decision-making
  • Regular interaction with towing contractors, law enforcement personnel, facility staff, and authorized visitors
