Tax Manager role open now in SE Calgary! $120K + Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Tax Manager in the finance sector in Calgary, Alberta. We're working with our client to help them find the perfect fit for their newly opened Tax Manager role. This is with a mid-size public accounting firm. The best fit for this role is someone with their CPA, thorough corporate and personal tax experience, and management experience. Responsibilities: Prepare a full range of personal and corporate tax filings (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, GST, etc.). Liaise with the CRA and provide clients with timely, accurate guidance. Build strong client relationships and respond to inquiries with professionalism and care. Manage and review a broad range of tax engagements across a diverse client portfolio (owner-managed businesses, private companies, and individuals) Provide guidance, review work, and support the development of junior and intermediate staff Participate in select audit engagements as needed Ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations and professional standards Requirements: 3+ years of public accounting experience (mid-size firm experience; also open to Big 4 experience with diversified client exposure) 1+ years of experience at the Tax Manager level within a mid-sized public accounting firm CPA designation, with 1–2 years post-designation experience Strong tax specialization, with some audit exposure (experience with T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, GST, etc.). 1+ years of proven leadership experience, including team mentorship and review responsibilities Proficiency with CaseWare, TaxCycle, Sage, and QuickBooks.
