We are seeking a well-rounded Senior Manager to join BMO’s Day-to-Day Banking Strategy team to help drive performance and strategic outcomes across the business in direct partnership with the leadership team. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Planning & Business Enablement, this role will turn strategic priorities into clear plans and measurable results, enabling decisions through strong insights, structured problem-solving, and disciplined execution.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Strategic Planning: Support the annual and multi-year strategic planning process for Day-to-Day Banking, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and financial objectives
  • Business Enablement: Translate strategy into actionable plans, OKRs, and execution roadmaps across products, channels, and customer segments
  • Performance Management: Own key components of the Day-to-Day Banking performance management framework, including dashboards and executive reporting
  • Change, Transformation & Operating Model: Support large-scale transformation initiatives, including digital modernization, customer experience improvement, and operating model evolution
  • Advisory & Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the Day-to-Day Banking team and foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization

Success in this role requires the following qualities and skills:

  • Demonstrated strategy development capability, including structured problem solving, issue definition, and creating high-quality PowerPoint presentations
  • Proven performance management and analytical capability, including building dashboards and models in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar tools is an asset
  • Solid retail banking knowledge and an understanding of day-to-day banking products

Drives the strategic planning process for a designated business group. Analyzes market trends, global competitors and conducts scenario planning as input to strategic planning. Supports the business leader by running strategy meetings and preparing presentations for various audiences across BMO.

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.
  • Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
  • Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
  • Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor.
  • Makes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
  • May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.
  • Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
  • Develops the business case by identifying needs, analysing potential options and assessing expected return on investment.
  • Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements and develops roadmap for strategic execution.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
  • Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Leads implementation of the strategic planning process by partnering with various internal & external stakeholders as required.
  • Defines business requirements for analytics & reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision making.
  • Provides coaching on complex strategic & business issues and facilitates processes to reach effective resolution.
  • Prepares strategic presentations for use in strategic planning processes.
  • Coordinates and organizes meetings for the strategic planning processes.
  • Leads the execution of operational programs; assesses and adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution.
  • Analyzes market trends and global competitors to inform strategic planning for the designated business group.
  • Conducts scenario planning to help inform senior leaders on the range of strategic choices.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues.
  • Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
  • Implements changes in response to shifting trends.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
  • Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying our Risk Management Framework in the execution of your role, in line with our Risk Culture and within our approved Risk Appetite, making sound and risk informed decisions that align to business strategy, protect assets, and adhere to applicable policy documents (Frameworks, Policies, Standards, Procedures and Supporting documents), laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth / Expert.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth / Expert.
  • Influence skills - In-depth / Expert.
  • Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration - In-depth / Expert.

Salaire :

$86,000.00 - $160,000.00

Ce qui précède représente la fourchette et le type de rémunération de BMO Groupe financier.

Les salaires varieront en fonction de facteurs comme l’emplacement, les compétences, l’expérience, les études et les qualifications pour le poste et pourront inclure une structure de commissions. Les salaires pour les postes à temps partiel seront calculés au prorata du nombre d’heures travaillées régulièrement. Pour les rôles à commission, le salaire susmentionné représente la cible de BMO Groupe financier pour la première année au poste.

La rémunération totale offerte par BMO variera selon le type de rémunération associé au poste et peut comprendre des primes de rendement, des primes discrétionnaires ainsi que d’autres avantages et récompenses.
