Cisco Network & Security Specialist | Enterprise Infrastructure, Firewalls, Routing & Voice Systems
Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Cisco Network Operations Specialist in the utilities industry in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta.
Join a large-scale enterprise environment supporting critical Cisco network and security operations across multiple locations. This hands-on contract role is ideal for an experienced network professional who thrives in troubleshooting complex infrastructure, managing Cisco security technologies, supporting voice services, and ensuring high availability across business-critical systems. You'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing a robust network environment that powers daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Provide operational support for Cisco firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure
Troubleshoot and resolve network, security, and connectivity incidents in production environments
Execute network changes, upgrades, and service requests following established processes
Support enterprise routing infrastructure and WAN connectivity utilizing BGP
Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco Firepower and NGFW environments
Support Cisco Unified Communications, SIP trunking, and VoIP services
Maintain availability of critical voice and emergency communication systems
Requirements:
Strong hands-on experience supporting Cisco Firepower (FTD/NGFW), Cisco switches, and Cisco routers
Demonstrated experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise Cisco security infrastructure
Advanced knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking including VLANs, routing, switching, and BGP
Hands-on experience supporting Cisco Unified Communications (UC), SIP trunking, and VoIP services
Experience executing network changes and service requests within ITIL-based change management frameworks
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network, security, and connectivity issues with minimal supervision
Total rewards:
$55.00 - $60.00 hourly
