Are you a strategic procurement professional with experience supporting large-scale capital projects? Our client is seeking a Procurement Specialist to lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting activities for major infrastructure and utility projects. This role offers the opportunity to work with project teams, negotiate high-value agreements, manage supplier relationships, and influence procurement strategies while supporting a significant capital portfolio with occasional travel to the United States. What's in it for you: $50.00 - $70.00 hourly Earn a competitive contract rate of $50-$55/hour T4 or $65-$70/hour Incorporated Six month contract with potential extension Primarily Edmonton based Opportunity to support high value capital projects Exposure to diverse procurement methodologies Work closely with senior supply chain leaders Professional growth within advanced procurement functions Collaborative, team oriented work environment Responsibilities: Lead end to end procurement and contracting processes Develop sourcing strategies for construction and professional services Prepare RFx and contract documents with internal stakeholders Facilitate supplier evaluations, negotiations, and award recommendations Build and maintain supplier relationships and long term contracts Assess market conditions and recommend procurement approaches Ensure compliance with procurement policies and competitive bidding laws Analyze spend data to optimize cost, delivery, and quality Requirements: Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management or a related business field 3+ years of category-based buying and contract negotiation experience Experience supporting capital project procurement in heavy industrial environments Knowledge of construction delivery models such as DB, CMAR, and IPD Strong understanding of competitive bidding, contract law, and risk management Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems (Oracle), and eProcurement tools Professional purchasing designation (CSCP, CPIM, CPCM) preferred Strong communication, analytical, and cross functional collaboration skills This posting is for an active opening.
