Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will provide support in overseeing the day-to-day operations including safe and efficient maintenance of the buildings, HVAC equipment, shop equipment, vehicles and grounds of Ivany Campus, Aviation Institute, and all associated sites including the 200-bed housing complex. Responsibilities include managing building operations, maintaining equipment and campus grounds, and ensuring health, safety, cleanliness, appearance, and physical security standards are met in alignment with public post-secondary institutional requirements.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
Red Seal Trades Certification
Certified Engineering Technologist
3rd Class Power Engineer
Certification in Plumbing & Heating, Electrical or Building Related Trade
Building Environmental Systems Certificate
BMA Accreditation
Other industry-specific certifications from organizations such as the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) or International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), and APPA (formerly known as the Association of Physical Plant Administrators).
You have a minimum of five (5) years (full-time equivalent) of recent supervisory experience leading a team in a facilities maintenance or building operations setting.
Experience in construction of industrial facilities and associated commissioning.
Demonstrated experience in Preventative Maintenance programs such as Megamation.
Experience in change management.
Occupational experience that includes facility management would be considered an asset.
You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, and facility management software such as Megamation.
You possess knowledge and experience in Occupational Health & Safety Policies, Standards and Compliance.
You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience

You are a strong communicator and have a proven ability to follow oral and written instructions.

You are able to perform all physical duties of the job as required for the operation and maintenance of the facilities and operation of small hand tools and shop equipment.
