About the Role
In this position, you will work as a Peace Officer within the Lethbridge Police Service’s Specialized Traffic Enforcement Unit, conducting photo radar enforcement at designated locations under the Directed Deployment Program. You will be responsible for setting up and operating enforcement equipment in accordance with training standards, maintaining accurate and detailed records of violations, and ensuring high-quality image capture through proper camera adjustments. You may also be required to present evidence and testify in court, requiring strong communication skills and professionalism in public settings.

What You Bring
- Valid Alberta Security License
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification
- High School Diploma or GED (required for Peace Officer status)
- Class 5 Driver’s License (non-GDL) with a clean driver’s abstract
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail, data entry, and report writing abilities
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- 5 years of residency in Canada required for Enhanced Security Clearance
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varied shifts
- Previous RCMP, Military experience, or law enforcement education (asset)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods when required
- Manual dexterity to operate technical equipment and computers
- Ability to perform duties independently in various environments
