As the Director of Food & Beverage Operations, you will oversee all aspects of our Food & Beverage operations, including Culinary, Stewarding, all F&B Outlets, Banquet Operations, In-Room Dining/Minibar and our 3D Virtual Dinner Theatre (The Magic Table). This role plays a vital part in shaping our guest experiences, while also driving operational excellence, team development, and profitability. The Director of F&B Ops ensures all service standards are upheld across all F&B department while building a service-driven and high-performance culture.
As a Concord Leader you will be responsible to:
Responsibilities:
Consistently deliver exceptional service to guests and associates, setting a positive example for everyone to follow.
Lead, manage, and continuously improve operations across Culinary, Stewarding and the entire F&B Service team.
Oversee the performance and development of the Culinary and F&B Leaders, working collaboratively to ensure smooth operations across all venues.
Ensure adequate department leadership coverage across all shifts, maintaining constant supervision and direction.
Coordinate efforts across all departments to ensure seamless execution of all F&B service interactions, ensuring an elevated, premium guest/customer experience.
Partner with Sales, Rooms, Culinary and all F&B Service Leaders to align services with our hotel and restaurant monthly forecasts.
Take immediate action to resolve operational or guest-related issues, ensuring timely and effective follow-up.
Hire, schedule, train, and supervise all Leaders across the entire F&B Department.
Provide Leaders and Associates with necessary tools and training to perform their roles efficiently and professionally.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, counseling sessions, and Leadership development activities.
Lead team meetings and represent the department in all Leadership meetings.
Ensure adherence to all Concord Hospitality policies and SOPs.
Promote a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, payroll, and inventory costs.
Monitor P&L statements, labor productivity, and food/beverage cost controls.
Qualifications:
A seasoned professional with a minimum of three years’ experience leading a large, food & beverage operation in a downtown city center.
Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to safety.
Someone who has solid leadership skills, adept at training, coaching and motivating a team of culinary professionals.
An exceptional problem-solver, knowing how to troubleshoot, resolve situations efficiently, with the ability to shift priorities as needed, including handling customer or staff situations that may occur outside of typical work hours.
Strong understanding of financials, food cost, labor cost, and revenue strategies.
Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration with a hands-on leadership style.
Able to combine strategic planning and day-to-day management.
Physically able to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, crouch, and lift or carry objects up to 40 pounds or more.
