We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our client's finance team. Agilus is recruiting for a Accountant in the retail industry in Burnaby, British Columbia. This role is ideal for individuals early in their accounting career who are looking to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting operations. The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting activities and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. Responsibilities: Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Perform bank and account reconciliations Support the month-end and year-end close process Assist in preparing financial statements and reports Handling intercompany transactions Maintain and update financial records and documentation Successful candidates will have: 3+ years of experience in the accounting field (AP/AR) Strong AR/AP experience Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Intermediate MS Excel user Experience working with multiple currencies highly desirable Experience handling accounting duties for multiple companies at a time will be a strong asset Total rewards: $50000.00 - $65000.00 annually Permanent position Monday to Friday in office (9-5:30pm) Free street parking near office Competitive salary based on experience Supportive team environment Soft skills: Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Can-do attitude with the ability to juggle priorities and be a team player This posting is for an active opening.
