A recovery-oriented system of care is a coordinated network of personalized, community-based services for people at risk of or experiencing addiction and mental health challenges. It provides access to a full continuum of services and supports, from prevention and intervention to treatment and recovery. The vision is for every Albertan to have the opportunity to pursue recovery and live a healthy and productive life. The Ministry also liaises with the Office of the Alberta Health Advocates and Recovery Alberta. Are you ready for a role that shapes the future of Alberta’s mental health and addiction workforce through strategic leadership, collaboration, and evidence‑informed policy? The Manager, Mental Health and Addiction Workforce Policy and Programs provide strategic leadership for the development, implementation, and coordination of workforce policies, strategies, and initiatives that support Alberta’s mental health and addiction system. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Information, Research and Evaluation, this role leads and mentors a multidisciplinary team and works collaboratively with internal and external partners to advance ministry priorities and the Alberta Recovery Model.

University degree in Public Administration, Business, Social Sciences, or related field with a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience related to the role; or equivalent as described below.
