About the Opportunity
Our client, a respected organization within the international development and research sector, is seeking a Senior Procurement Advisor to support complex, high-impact procurement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, acting as a trusted advisor across diverse procurement activities, both domestic and international. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll lead end-to-end procurement and contracting activities, from planning through to close-out
• You’ll act as a primary advisor to internal clients, balancing service delivery with compliance requirements
• You’ll manage supplier relationships, including performance, negotiations, and dispute resolution
• You’ll identify and mitigate procurement risks while ensuring adherence to trade agreements and policies
• You’ll contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing across the procurement function
Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of progressive procurement experience in a regulated or governance-driven environment
• Strong knowledge of source-to-settlement processes and contract lifecycle management
• Experience applying Canadian trade agreements such as CFTA or CETA
• Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, and multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar tools is an asset
