Salary: $19.00 per Hour
 

Location: Winnipeg, MB (Hybrid – 2 days in office; training fully on-site for first few weeks)
Language: English – strong written and spoken communication required
Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Support professional to join a team within the financial services and insurance industry. In this role, you will support the administration of disability claims and help ensure accurate, timely service delivery to clients and stakeholders.

You will work in a structured, collaborative environment where your ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively will contribute to a strong client experience.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will provide daily administrative support to the Disability Management team to meet operational and client needs.
  • You will update and maintain accurate claimant, client, and provider information across multiple systems.
  • You will sort, scan, and process incoming mail, as well as coordinate outgoing mail and couriers.
  • You will prepare and send correspondence to claimants, clients, and service providers.
  • You will respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, ensuring professional and timely communication.
  • You will coordinate appointments with service providers and support scheduling activities.
  • You will process invoices and support payment administration.
  • You will assist with new claim setups and support additional team functions as needed.
  • You will process and coordinate disability forms with a high level of accuracy.

Skills and Qualifications

  • You will have post-secondary education or equivalent experience, ideally in an administrative or financial environment.
  • You will have strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • You will have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You will have a customer-focused mindset and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • You will have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • You will have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • You will have the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

  • Compensation: $19/hour
  • Work Model: Hybrid (2 days in office after training)
  • Training: Fully on-site for the first few weeks
  • Work Environment: Structured, fast-paced, and team-oriented
