About the Opportunity
Altis is partnering with a large public sector organization seeking a Senior Developer to support Master Data Management and Transaction Management Systems within a complex enterprise environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who thrives in large-scale systems and enjoys working across modern and legacy technologies.

You will join a collaborative Scrum team, working closely with technical leads, architects, and product owners to support critical data platforms and modernization initiatives. From cloud migration to integration transformation, your work will directly contribute to improving system performance, scalability, and reliability across the organization.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll act as a senior technical contributor within Agile Scrum teams, supporting development and technical decision-making.
• You’ll support Azure cloud migration initiatives, including application and integration transitions and post-migration stabilization.
• You’ll modernize and migrate integration platforms, including transitioning MuleSoft flows to Spring Boot-based microservices.
• You’ll provide advanced support for Markit EDM solutions, including upgrades, integrations, and vendor coordination.
• You’ll contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and version control strategies.
• You’ll support production systems through troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
• You’ll develop and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational runbooks.

Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience within enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Markit EDM (COTS) solutions, including complex integrations and upgrades.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Azure cloud migrations for enterprise applications.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices architecture.
• Experience modernizing integration platforms such as MuleSoft to custom-built services.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise messaging platforms such as IBM MQ or Red Hat AMQ.
• Strong SQL and database performance optimization skills.
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
• Familiarity with .NET and IIS in mixed-technology environments.
• Understanding of financial markets, securities, and reference data domains is considered an asset.
