About the Opportunity
Our client in the public sector is seeking experienced HR professionals to support a large-scale workforce transition initiative. This project centers on assessing employees impacted by workforce reductions and determining their eligibility to transition into alternate roles based on qualifications, experience, and organizational needs.
Working closely with a small, collaborative HR team, you will play a key role in a highly sensitive and fast-moving process. This is a behind-the-scenes, analytical role requiring sound judgement, discretion, and the ability to interpret job requirements and candidate profiles with clarity and consistency.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll assess employee qualifications, skills, and experience against job descriptions to determine role alignment
• You’ll analyze resumes, qualification forms, and internal job profiles to support “bumping” decisions
• You’ll document assessments clearly, including rationale for role eligibility or ineligibility
• You’ll maintain and update shared tracking tools to ensure transparency and consistency across decisions
• You’ll collaborate with internal HR leads to validate findings and address gaps in information
• You may conduct follow-up conversations with employees to clarify experience when required
Skills and Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in HR, recruitment, job evaluation, or compensation
• Strong ability to interpret job descriptions and assess levels of responsibility
• Experience reviewing resumes and evaluating candidate qualifications
• Excellent documentation skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong critical thinking and sound judgement in complex decision-making
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset
