Your Opportunity
We are currently seeking one or more Electrical Engineering Technologist/Technician Students for our Ottawa office for a 4, 8 or 12 month placement.
Your Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate(s) will be part of the Electrical Building’s Engineering group. (S)he/they will be assisting Project Managers and Senior Electrical Engineers in electrical system inspections and audits on various sites across Canada, design and drafting assistance, construction administration, and power studies.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Detailed attention to requirements and ensuring quality work.
Demonstrates sound judgment and common sense at work.
The ability to work independently and maintain productivity unsupervised.
The discipline to maintain required safe work procedures in any environment.
Experienced at working well in a team environment.
Strong English verbal and writing skills are required.
French language skills are considered an asset.
Ability to travel within Canada may be required.
Current Driver's license is required.
Education and Experience
A working knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset.
A working knowledge of Revit is an asset.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite is an asset.
A working knowledge of Power Systems Analysis software like OSI ETAP and SKM PTW is beneficial.
Advanced knowledge of automation programming (Visual Basic for Applications, Macros, etc.) within MS Excel and Access is beneficial.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
