Our client, a respected organization in the higher education sector, is seeking a Junior Application Support Developer to join their collaborative and globally connected technology team. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll support and maintain a WordPress environment, including plugin updates and issue resolution
• In this role, you’ll monitor systems and respond to incidents using tools such as Nagios
• You’ll troubleshoot and support a LAMP stack, including Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP
• You’ll assist with SQL jobs, reporting, and data load activities to support operational needs
• You’ll contribute to Microsoft Power Platform initiatives, including Power Automate workflows and SharePoint support
• You’ll provide basic system administration and follow operational procedures to ensure system stability
Skills and Qualifications
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a support or junior development role
• Practical experience with WordPress and LAMP stack environments
• Proficiency in SQL or PL/SQL for data querying and reporting
• Strong working knowledge of Unix or Linux command line tools
• Demonstrated troubleshooting ability with a practical, solution-oriented mindset
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, feedback-driven environment
