Finance Systems Lead- Contract 

Location: North York, ON, On-site (5 days per week)
Compensation: $70-$75INC Hourly or $60- $65 T4 Hourly
Language: Strong written and verbal communication in English required
Duration: Contract, ASAP to November 30, 2026
Background Check Requirement: Must be eligible to complete government background and security clearance requirements

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established public sector organization, is seeking a Finance System Lead to support a major enterprise transformation initiative. This role sits at the intersection of finance, technology, and operations, playing a critical part in stabilizing and optimizing a recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations system.

You will work closely with finance leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure the system is functioning effectively and meeting business needs. This is a highly collaborative environment where your ability to translate financial requirements into system solutions will directly impact operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Your Responsibilities

• You’ll lead the ongoing optimization and support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations post go-live
• In this role, you’ll translate business requirements into system configurations, functional designs, and reporting outputs
• You’ll collaborate with finance, IT, and vendors to resolve system issues and enhance functionality
• You’ll oversee data validation, reconciliation, and integrity across financial systems
• You’ll support end users through training, troubleshooting, and change management initiatives

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance systems and D365 ERP implementation
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, including configuration and reporting
• Strong understanding of financial structures, including the chart of accounts and financial dimensions
• Experience working in ERP implementations, including post-go-live support and optimization
• Solid project management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
