About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established organization in the higher education sector, is seeking an Intermediate Data / ETL Developer to support a major enterprise transformation initiative. This role will play a key part in building a new centralized data warehouse, enabling better insights and decision-making across the organization.
You’ll join a collaborative and globally connected technology team, working closely with architecture and project teams to design and deliver scalable data solutions. This is an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work, contributing hands-on to the full lifecycle of data pipeline development while mentoring junior team members.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines to support a new Oracle-based data warehouse
• In this role, you’ll develop PL/SQL packages, including functions and procedures for data processing
• You’ll create and maintain Python and shell scripts to automate ETL workflows and data movement
• You’ll optimize data pipelines, including performance tuning, logging, and monitoring
• You’ll collaborate with architecture teams to contribute to technical design and implementation decisions
• You’ll lead development activities, delegate tasks to junior team members, and support knowledge transfer
Skills and Qualifications
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or ETL development
• Proven experience building or contributing to a data warehouse end-to-end
• Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL, including performance optimization
• Proficiency in Python and/or shell scripting in a Linux environment
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines and workflows
• Ability to work independently, lead delivery, and collaborate across technical teams
