About the Opportunity
Our client, a respected organization within the broader public sector, is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement & Contract Officer to support critical procurement and contract management activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence across a variety of vendor relationships and agreements.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, clinical leaders, and senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on procurement processes and contract best practices. Your Responsibilities- You’ll manage the full lifecycle of contracts, including drafting, review, approvals, amendments, and renewals
- In this role, you’ll prepare financial analyses such as tender evaluations, savings reports, and rebate tracking
- You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure contract accuracy and completeness
- You’ll monitor vendor performance, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with contractual terms
- You’ll coordinate vendor meetings and support ongoing relationship management with partners
- You’ll provide guidance on procurement policies, public sector regulations, and contract-related matters
Skills and Qualifications- 2+ years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or similar discipline
- Experience with public sector procurement frameworks such as CFTA or CETA is an asset
- Knowledge of tendering processes, procurement policies, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office, with experience in ORACLE or Bonfire considered an asset
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
