About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established organization in the retail and healthcare space, is seeking a Category Buyer, Front Store to join their team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the right products are available at the right time, balancing operational efficiency with a strong understanding of customer needs and market trends.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and marketing partners to drive purchasing strategies, enhance product offerings, and support overall category growth. Your Responsibilities
- You’ll manage purchase orders end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory levels
- You’ll analyze trends and forecasting data to support inventory planning and replenishment strategies
- You’ll collaborate with marketing to align purchasing with promotions, product launches, and seasonal initiatives
- You’ll maintain accurate item records, pricing, and product data to support operational efficiency
- You’ll build strong vendor relationships, resolving issues related to quality, packaging, and supply
- You’ll contribute to merchandising strategies by identifying opportunities for category growth and competitive pricing
Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing, merchandising, or inventory management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and forecast demand
- Experience working with ERP systems or inventory management tools
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management
- Experience in retail, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods industries is an asset
