About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established property management organization, is seeking a hands-on and service-focused Building Operator to support a residential portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining safe, comfortable living environments and enjoys being the go-to person for residents and day-to-day operations.

You will work closely with property management and residents to ensure a seamless living experience. From responding to service requests to maintaining building systems, your work will directly contribute to resident satisfaction and the overall success of the community.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll respond promptly to resident inquiries and service requests, ensuring a high standard of customer service
  • In this role, you’ll perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances
  • You’ll act as a key liaison between residents and property management, supporting clear communication and issue resolution
  • You’ll conduct regular inspections of units, common areas, and building systems to maintain safety and quality standards
  • You’ll coordinate move-ins and move-outs, and oversee external contractors to ensure work is completed effectively
  • You’ll support emergency response needs, including after-hours on-call duties when required

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in building operations or a related environment
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader team
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive and preventative mindset
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
