About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about keeping organizations compliant while supporting a circular economy? In this role, you’ll join a mission-driven administrative authority in the recycling and hazardous waste sector, helping producers like airports and large retailers meet their regulatory obligations. You’ll play a key part in maintaining trust between regulated parties and the authority, ensuring compliance with the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act and the Waste Diversion Transition Act.

Your Responsibilities
- You’ll conduct desk-based compliance reviews and audits to ensure regulated parties are meeting their obligations under applicable legislation.
- You’ll manage compliance cases, including monitoring communications, reviewing data, and documenting inspection outcomes.
- You’ll communicate regulatory requirements and enforcement actions clearly to stakeholders, ensuring they understand expectations.
- You’ll contribute to creating training materials, FAQs, and compliance bulletins to support regulated parties.
- You’ll analyze data and generate reports to support risk-based compliance plans and internal decision-making.
- You’ll participate in occasional on-site inspections and assist with administrative and research tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in regulatory compliance or enforcement, ideally within administrative authorities, government, or public-sector roles.
- Strong analytical, data management, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with compliance frameworks, inspections, or audits; familiarity with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and French.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook; Salesforce experience is an asset.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with discretion and judgment.
