Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Job Type: Contract (Full-time, 7-hour days)
Clearance: Eligible to obtain Reliability clearance
Language: English, strong written and verbal communication required
Compensation: $75–$92/hour

About the Opportunity

Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support key HR systems and transformation initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, helping translate complex HR processes into scalable, data-driven solutions that improve organizational performance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including HR leaders, IT teams, and senior decision-makers, to deliver impactful insights and system enhancements. Your work will directly contribute to improving workforce processes, data quality, and reporting capabilities across the organization.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead current-state and future-state analysis, developing detailed process maps and data flow diagrams
  • In this role, you’ll gather and document business and functional requirements, ensuring alignment with HR and IT stakeholders
  • You’ll conduct gap analysis, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit assessments to support decision-making
  • You’ll support system enhancements by developing SAP functional specifications and workflow designs
  • You’ll collaborate with project teams to support testing, validation, and delivery of project documentation

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience delivering business and IT analysis, including BRDs, process mapping, and data modeling
  • 5+ years working with HR business functions and HRIS systems
  • Strong understanding of data warehouses, data relationships, and reporting structures
  • Proficiency with modeling tools such as Visio or Draw.io
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
