About the Opportunity

Our public sector client is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support a large-scale Application Portfolio Modernization program. This initiative focuses on evaluating and transforming legacy systems into modern, scalable platforms that better serve evolving business needs.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, enterprise architecture, and business stakeholders. You will play a key role in bridging business requirements with technical delivery, helping guide critical modernization efforts while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.

Your Responsibilities

• You’ll lead requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into detailed documentation including BRDs, FSDs, and user stories
• You’ll analyze legacy applications and define modernization strategies such as re-platforming, rebuilding, or retirement
• You’ll support and enhance the ServiceNow platform, including EA modules, CMDB, and APM components
• You’ll coordinate testing activities including UAT and ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements
• You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to drive alignment, governance, and successful delivery

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive business analysis experience within IT environments
• CBAP certification in good standing with IIBA is mandatory (Proof of Certification must be submitted with bid submission)
• Strong experience with ServiceNow, including CMDB and Enterprise Architecture modules
• Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis
• Proficiency in SQL or data querying tools, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
