About the Opportunity

In this Senior Manager, Lease Administration role, you will own the end-to-end lease administration function for a national commercial real estate portfolio of more than 130 locations, spanning Toronto, Montreal, and Winnipeg. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic decision making.
You’ll collaborate daily with Finance, Legal, Facilities, Construction, and external partners, becoming the organization’s go-to expert on lease obligations, operating expenses, critical dates, and recoveries. Your Responsibilities
- You’ll oversee lease abstraction, data integrity, and document management, ensuring accurate and complete information across the portfolio.
- In this role, you’ll manage financial processes including rent presentment, CAM reconciliations, and operating cost audits, providing actionable insights to Finance and leadership.
- You’ll lead the audit program, collaborating with third-party consultants and maintaining compliance reporting.
- You’ll partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational alignment, manage estoppels, and resolve landlord disputes.
- You’ll mentor and develop your team, championing accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- You’ll elevate SOPs, process rigor, and approval workflows to establish a best-in-class lease administration function.
Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in lease administration or property accounting, with expertise in commercial lease structures and operating cost allocations.
- Proven track record in managing CAM, operating expense, property tax reconciliations, and rent presentment processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills to navigate complex financial and compliance challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to produce executive-level reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional designations (CPM, RPA, CCLFP) are an asset.
- Familiarity with lease administration systems and financial review processes.
