Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, this role is integral to shaping the Central Region’s transportation network by leading project scoping for rehabilitation and capital construction initiatives; driving the development of the regional programs; leading regional planning activities (e.g. functional planning); and/or providing technical expertise on development applications. The position also delivers in-house preliminary engineering, geometric assessments, and safety assessments to inform project decisions and ensure safe, efficient, and future-ready infrastructure.

Assets:
• Project / financial management and administration experience.
• Strong value engineering skills, including identifying cost-effective solutions while maintaining project quality and performance.
• Experience responding to questions from the public regarding transportation infrastructure and projects.
• Experience with traffic analysis software such as Synchro and/or Sidra.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Understanding of political issues, government mechanisms, processes, and levels of authority.
