Note: This recruitment will be conducted to fill two (2) positions - 1 Permanent position and 1 Temporary Wage position ending on or before March 31, 2027.
Elections Alberta is seeking an organized and dedicated Business Analyst to join our team! Under the guidance and direction of the Business Solutions & Quality Lead, this position is responsible for bridging business needs with technical solutions across Elections Alberta’s core systems. This includes oversight and support of various online applications used to manage elections, election staff payments, poll book information, voter registration, political entity registration, and financial reporting.
The position works closely with external vendors responsible for system development and maintenance and is accountable for ensuring solutions meet business and technical requirements. This role also provides support for ETL processes, the provincial Register maintenance program, and internal initiatives.
A key component of this role is the ability to perform data analysis using SQL and develop reporting solutions using Power BI, as well as produce clear, structured, and comprehensive documentation including business requirements, system specifications, data mappings, and process models.
