Agilus is recruiting for a Project Manager/Engineer in the Industrial Minerals Sector in Exshaw, Alberta.
Our client is seeking a Project Manager/Engineer to drive operational efficiency, safety, and cost optimization while managing large brownfield projects from concept through commissioning. Working closely with operations, maintenance, and EPC partners, the role supports capacity expansion initiatives, including a major new plant planned by 2030.
Total rewards:
$130000.00 - $150000.00 annually

A typical day:
Support commissioning, start-up, and integration of new systems into operating facilities.
Lead and deliver large-scale capital projects involving mechanical systems and equipment upgrades.
Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risk, and execution plans.
Oversee contractor, consultant, and vendor performance across safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
Drive operational efficiency through equipment optimization and process improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and engineering standards throughout project delivery.
Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies across the project lifecycle.
Successful candidates will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of capital project experience; major capex and brownfield project experience required.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including conveyors, crushers, pumps, furnaces, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Proven experience in bulk material handling environments (mineral processing, chemical, pulp & paper).
Proficient with SAP (preferred), AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office tools.
PMP certification and P.Eng. (APEGA eligible) considered assets but not required.
