About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-impact technology initiatives. In this role, you will drive multiple projects simultaneously, from initiation through closure, leveraging PMI-aligned project management practices. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT specialists, business partners, and third-party service providers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Your leadership will directly influence the success of enterprise platforms, infrastructure, and integrated technology solutions across the organization.
You will also serve as a mentor and coach, helping to build project management excellence across the team. Your Responsibilities
- You’ll manage multiple projects of varying complexity, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, budgets, and objectives.
- You’ll lead cross-functional project teams, coordinating SMEs from IT, business divisions, and external vendors.
- You’ll manage project financials, capacity planning, forecasting, and mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track.
- You’ll build strong relationships across a matrix organization, collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and success criteria.
- You’ll monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, preparing documentation to support leadership decisions.
- You’ll mentor team members, coordinate meetings, and track team performance to ensure delivery excellence.
- You’ll oversee procurement processes, including RFPs and RFQs, and lead IT system and service selection activities.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years managing large, complex technology projects with teams of 10–15+ members across architects, developers, business analysts, and testing/infrastructure teams.
- Experience implementing enterprise platforms or infrastructure (ERP, CRM, cloud solutions, or distributed integrated systems).
- Strong technical knowledge across IT domains: enterprise systems, software development, infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and telecommunications.
- Proven ability to identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Experience planning and leading organizational change management initiatives.
- Hands-on experience managing project financials, including forecasting, budget adjustments, and reporting variances.
- Skilled in vendor management, contract oversight, and building internal/external partnerships.
- Familiarity with business and technology frameworks including Strategy, Governance, SDLC, Agile, QA/QC, DevOps, and Product Development.
- Project Management Certification (PMP) and/or CSM, ACP, SAFe, or Risk Management certification.
- 3+ years using SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite; extensive experience with MS Project and Project Online.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in IT, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
