About the Opportunity
Altis Recruitment is partnering with a leading national organization to hire a Director, Real Estate Operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing mission critical facilities across a national portfolio, ensuring reliability, safety, and operational excellence at every level.

You will lead a large, diverse team of operations professionals and collaborate closely with engineering, project, and business stakeholders. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about building strong teams, driving performance, and delivering uninterrupted service in critical infrastructure settings.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead and develop a team of senior managers and building operations staff across a national portfolio
  • In this role, you’ll oversee daily facility operations, including maintenance, compliance, and occupant relations
  • You’ll manage operational budgets, ensuring alignment with financial targets and service standards
  • You’ll drive preventive maintenance programs and oversee repairs across mission critical environments
  • You’ll collaborate with engineering teams to enhance operational governance and reliability standards
  • You’ll identify risks, track performance metrics, and implement solutions to improve service continuity
  • You’ll foster strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and service excellence


Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in mission critical facilities
  • Proven leadership experience managing large, multi-level and unionized teams
  • Strong knowledge of real estate operations, facility management, and project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience with facility management systems and industry best practices
  • Professional designation such as P.Eng, CET, or relevant certification is an asset
