About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established organization in the infrastructure and engineering sector, is seeking a Senior Analyst, Security Risk and Compliance to support and strengthen their enterprise security posture. This role plays a key part in ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory standards and industry best practices, while enabling the business to make informed, risk-based decisions.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Legal, Privacy, and Audit, acting as a trusted advisor on security risk. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll lead comprehensive security risk assessments across applications, systems, and vendors
• In this role, you’ll advise business units on risk mitigation strategies and security best practices
• You’ll design and maintain compliance frameworks aligned with ISO 27001 and related standards
• You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support audits and regulatory reviews
• You’ll monitor and report on security control effectiveness using KPIs and KRIs
• You’ll contribute to the development of governance documentation including policies and standards
Skills and Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in IT, including 5+ years in information security, compliance, or IT audit
• 3+ years in security risk management
• Strong knowledge of frameworks and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS, or PHIPA
• Experience conducting risk assessments and managing security compliance programs
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC are considered assets
