Financial Reporting Analyst
Location: Markham, Ontario (Hybrid, combination of in-office and remote work)

Your Responsibilities
- You’ll prepare quarterly financial reports for internal leadership, global head office, and external stakeholders
- You’ll maintain general ledgers and trial balances, ensuring accuracy across insurance operations
- In this role, you’ll manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting timelines and deliverables
- You’ll perform detailed reconciliations and present findings to cross-functional teams
- You’ll support year-end audits and actuarial requests, ensuring compliance with internal controls
- You’ll analyze large datasets using advanced Excel tools to identify trends and insights
- You’ll collaborate with underwriting, claims, and support teams while contributing to ongoing system and process improvements
Skills and Qualifications
- 3–5 years of progressive financial reporting or accounting experience
- CPA designation completed or in progress
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis tools
- Experience working with large datasets and financial systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
