Duration: 11-weeks (with the strong possibility of extension)

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established non-profit organization, is seeking a Contracts Officer to support their contracting and procurement operations. This role plays an important part in ensuring procurement activities are carried out efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with established policies and regulations.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll support the application and implementation of procurement and contracting processes, particularly for service-based contracts.
  • In this role, you’ll help ensure contracting activities align with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • You’ll prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs), supporting the full solicitation process.
  • You’ll assist with preparing, awarding, and managing contracts to ensure compliance and effective vendor engagement.
  • You’ll synthesize and organize procurement information and develop reference tools or documentation to support internal teams.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, contracting, or supply chain roles.
  • Experience preparing and issuing RFQs and RFPs and supporting contract award processes.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize and structure information clearly.
  • Experience managing or supporting service-based contracts.
  • Knowledge of accessibility-related requirements in a contracting context considered an asset.
