About the Opportunity
Our client, a nationally recognized healthcare and public service organization, is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer (Manager, Production) to join their Supply Chain Operations team in Western Canada. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe, reliable production and distribution of essential medical products that thousands of patients rely on every day.
Working alongside cross-functional partners across operations, quality, and supply chain, you will help strengthen manufacturing processes and lead initiatives that improve efficiency, safety, and quality. Your Responsibilities
- You’ll lead production and distribution operations across regional sites, ensuring efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- In this role, you’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to strengthen processes and optimize manufacturing workflows.
- You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges and improve operational performance.
- You’ll lead projects from planning and analysis through implementation and reporting to achieve targeted outcomes.
- You’ll support and develop a high-performing team by fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and accountability.
Skills and Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, industrial engineering, or process improvement environments
- Post-secondary education in engineering, science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with lean manufacturing, process optimization, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Exposure to manufacturing environments that follow GMP or structured quality systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, influence stakeholders, and support team development
- Experience with budgeting, planning, or operational performance management is an asset
