You will work closely with executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and diverse business units across the organization. Your expertise will directly influence enterprise-wide decision-making, major projects, and long-term risk financing strategies within a large public-sector organization that delivers essential services to communities across the province.

Your Responsibilities
Lead the design, renewal, and oversight of a large-scale corporate insurance and self-insurance program across multiple business units.
Provide strategic risk and insurance advice to senior leaders, including the Treasurer, CFO, CEO, and Board of Directors.
Oversee broker and insurer relationships, including renewals, submissions, site surveys, and ongoing communications.
Assess enterprise and project-level risks, recommending cost-effective coverage and mitigation strategies.
Support contract negotiations by advising on insurance, liability, indemnity, and bonding requirements.
Manage complex insurance and third-party liability claims to maximize recoveries and ensure fair outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in insurance risk management within large, complex organizations
Strong background in corporate insurance programs, self-insurance, and risk financing strategies
Proven experience working with executive leadership and Board-level reporting
In-depth knowledge of property, casualty, liability, and project-related insurance
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
Strategic mindset with the ability to operate independently and manage competing priorities
