About the Opportunity
Our client, a large and complex enterprise within the retail and supply chain sector, is seeking a Team Lead, EDI Support to guide and strengthen their electronic data interchange operations. This is a high-impact role where operational reliability meets people leadership, ensuring seamless data flow across suppliers, partners, and internal business units.
You will lead a team supporting enterprise-wide EDI operations, working closely with Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, Digital, and IT stakeholders. Your Responsibilities
- You’ll lead and coach a team of EDI Support Analysts, setting clear priorities and ensuring service-level commitments are met.
- In this role, you’ll oversee the daily flow of inbound and outbound EDI transactions, proactively managing exceptions and escalations.
- You’ll act as the escalation point for complex data flow issues, ensuring timely resolution with minimal business disruption.
- You’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and external trading partners to support integrations and process improvements.
- You’ll support projects and system enhancements, contributing to requirements definition, testing, documentation, and post-implementation support.
- You’ll leverage reporting, metrics, and ad-hoc analysis to identify trends and drive operational improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of experience in EDI support or systems integration within an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated leadership or team lead experience, with strong coaching and influencing capabilities.
- Solid understanding of EDI platforms and integration methods such as AS2 and file transfer protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret X12 and XML documents.
- Experience with Excel and SQL for analysis, reporting, and data querying.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into business-focused language.
