Your Responsibilities
- In this role, you’ll oversee the full audit lifecycle, from initial due diligence and scheduling to the final examination of firm records.
- You’ll lead interviews with licensees and their staff to verify compliance with established bylaws and rules of professional conduct.
- You will prepare comprehensive audit reports that identify deficiencies and provide actionable recommendations for practice improvement.
- You’ll identify and flag serious regulatory breaches, occasionally serving as a witness at disciplinary hearings when required.
- You’ll collaborate with your team to share knowledge and ensure a consistent approach to auditing standards across the division.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in auditing, forensic accounting, or legal regulatory compliance.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to work proficiently in both French and English.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial records and legal bylaws.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent report-writing skills and the ability to present findings clearly to various stakeholders.
