Agilus is recruiting for a Document Control - Content Specialist in the Oil and Gas Industry in Calgary, Alberta.
This role supports a major initiative to centralize engineering and process-safety information. The specialist will organize, validate, and restructure data from multiple sources, with responsibilities expanding as the project progresses.
A typical day:
Centralize engineering and process safety documentation from multiple repositories (SharePoint, network folders, personal drives).
Validate, organize, and standardize files to align with engineering discipline structures and business lines.
Identify and resolve duplicate, outdated, or inconsistent data sets.
Develop and maintain folder structures, metadata standards, and naming conventions.
Implement and manage access permissions and user roles.
Ensure no data loss during migration and consolidation activities.
Collaborate with engineering, drafting, operations, and IT teams to ensure accuracy and alignment.
Support ongoing improvements as the program evolves, including documentation workflows and governance.
Successful candidates will have:
Experience in document control, content management, or technical information management.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage large volumes of documents and data.
Strong proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, and network-based file systems.
Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to evolving project needs.
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
familiarity with OpenText or similar ECM platforms; and understanding of PSI documentation.
