Contributes to the overall success of the Global Technology Services in Canada and Globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. 

 


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Patch Management
o Ensure timely and consistent application of patches in alignment with increased patching frequency, maintaining system stability and compliance with security standards.
o Manage patching deferrals and exemptions, including: 
 Conducting risk assessments for deferral and exemption requests.
 Tracking and documenting approvals for transparency and audit readiness.
 Maintaining and periodically reviewing the exemption list to validate necessity and compliance.
• Sustainability
• Analyze post-cycle results to identify issues with servers, patching tools, or processes (e.g., SALT agent failures, missed reboots, skipped kernel patches).
• Validate and track vulnerabilities, investigating false positives (e.g., Libcurl, OpenSSL, SQLite), reporting findings, and ensuring remediation.
• Assist in implementing new process changes to align with organizational standards.
• Monitor the health of vulnerability management tools and capabilities, recommend improvements, and coordinate across teams: 
o Tenable agent functionality.
o ABM tagging and ownership.
• Track delayed vendor patches and report associated impacts and remediation progress.
• Automation and Resiliency
• Oversee and optimize automation of server reboot processes, including start/stop procedures, to minimize weekly patching risks and enhance system resiliency.

 


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
• Superior English written and verbal communications with good presentation skills and collaborative orientation skill set 
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Advanced PowerPoint and presentation skills
• Strong Power BI knowledge and experience
• Strong Database and Report development knowledge
• Strong ServiceNow knowledge
• Exacting in following procedural documents 
• Ability to analyze data and assess vulnerabilities in infrastructure (software, hardware, networks).
• Strong people management and time management abilities 
• Highly familiar with Network and Operation System versions and protocols (all O/S)
• Highly familiar or experienced in Vulnerability Management/Cybersecurity & Server compliance
• Understanding of Vulnerability Management and Tool sets (Tenable) equating into a strong working knowledge of information security principles and security operations
