Your Opportunity

We are seeking an Architectural Technologist with strong technical design and Construction Administration (CA) experience to support active institutional projects. This role is focused on the preparation, coordination, and management of construction documentation, as well as providing technical support throughout the construction phase.

Working closely with Architects, Engineers, and Consultants, you will be responsible for translating design intent into accurate, coordinated, and buildable documents. You will play a key role in maintaining drawing quality, coordinating revisions, and supporting construction administration activities from tender through project close-out.

You will join a collaborative and detail-oriented team that values technical excellence, accountability, and long-term client relationships.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and coordinated construction documents in collaboration with Architects and Consultants

  • Develop architectural drawings with a strong focus on technical accuracy, constructability, and consistency across drawing sets

  • Utilize Revit and BIM workflows to produce and maintain models and documentation

  • Coordinate drawing revisions and track changes through multiple project phases

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards

  • Apply building codes, accessibility requirements, and life-safety standards to construction documents

  • Manage and respond to RFIs, clarifying design intent and resolving technical issues efficiently

  • Review shop drawings and submittals, coordinating responses with multiple disciplines

  • Assist with Construction Administration, including document review and on-site technical problem solving

  • Conduct site reviews to verify construction progress, identify deficiencies, and ensure compliance with design documentation

  • Ensure design intent is maintained through documentation and construction

  • Support Project Architects and Project Managers with technical coordination and issue resolution

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strong technical proficiency in construction documentation and detailing

  • Solid understanding of building systems, materials, constructability, and industry standards

  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, consultant documents, and sketches

  • High level of attention to detail and quality control

  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Newforma, Microsoft Office Suite, and related design software

Education and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology or related field

  • Certification or registration as an Architectural Technologist (or eligibility) preferred

  • 7-10+ years of experience required with a minimum of 3-5 years of construction administration experience.

  • Experience working on institutional or complex building projects is an asset

  • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Range:

• Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario-$81,500.00 - $118,200.00 Annually
