About the Opportunity
A growing, family-owned restoration construction company is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support its accounting and finance operations. This role has been created to address increased workload and an upcoming retirement within the accounting function, providing an exciting opportunity to step into a critical finance role.
You’ll work closely with office managers, support staff, and field teams to maintain accurate financial records, manage accounts, and assist in payroll processing. This position is ideal for someone with construction industry experience who is looking to grow into a broader accounting role while contributing to a hands-on, collaborative environment.

Your Responsibilities
You’ll maintain day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
You’ll match receipts, update vendor accounts, and manage banking portal transactions.
You’ll process invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
You’ll assist with payroll processing and support employee benefit documentation.
You’ll support job costing and construction project financial reporting, including monthly summaries.
You’ll prepare reports and assist with month-end close activities under guidance from the current bookkeeper.
You’ll organize and maintain accurate financial documentation and records.
Skills and Qualifications
1–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based industries.
Strong familiarity with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Experience with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing interruptions.
Adaptable, proactive, and willing to support a variety of responsibilities in a small business setting.
Comfortable learning construction-specific platforms and CRMs (e.g., Home Depot or project portals).
