About the Opportunity
Altis is building a talent pool of results-driven Billing and Collections Clerks for upcoming opportunities across Toronto. As a Billing / Collections Clerk, you play a key role in protecting cash flow and supporting financial performance. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing aging accounts, having proactive payment discussions, and working toward measurable recovery targets — all while maintaining professionalism and strong customer service standards.

Your Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of accounts receivable and actively monitor aging reports
Conduct outbound collection calls and email follow-ups to recover outstanding balances
Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes in a professional and solutions-focused manner
Meet or exceed monthly collection targets, recovery goals, and KPI metrics
Reduce days sales outstanding (DSO) and improve overall cash flow performance
Document all collection activities accurately within accounting or CRM systems
Escalate high-risk or delinquent accounts as required in accordance with policy
Reconcile account discrepancies and collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues
Support reporting on collection performance, aging trends, and account risk
Skills and Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a KPI-driven finance role
Proven experience working toward collection targets or performance metrics
Confident communicator with strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Experience using accounting or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar platforms)
Ability to analyze aging reports and prioritize high-risk accounts
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
Bilingualism in French and English is considered a strong asset
An asset: experience leveraging AI tools or automation platforms to improve collection workflows and reporting
