TerraHR Consulting is proud to partner with a private sector client in Ottawa for an Electrical Engineering role. 

We are partnering with a well-established consulting engineering firm that delivers mechanical and electrical design services across commercial, institutional, and residential building projects. This role is ideal for an Electrical Engineer who enjoys balancing technical design with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and clients.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design and develop electrical building systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and life safety systems
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Coordinate with mechanical, architectural, and structural teams to deliver integrated building solutions
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical input throughout project phases
• Support construction administration including site reviews and responding to contractor inquiries
• Ensure compliance with applicable Canadian codes and standards

What They’re Looking For:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Eligible for or holding P.Eng designation in Ontario
• Experience in building systems design (consulting environment preferred)
• Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and relevant industry standards
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and/or Revit

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range $80,000 to $105,000 based on experience

• 6 personal-sick days paid
• 3 weeks vacation accrued at 6%

• Hybrid work setting (2-3 days in office per week)

• Compensation for this position will be determined based on a variety of factors, which may include relevant education, credentials, certifications, professional experience, skill set, level of seniority, individual performance, and organizational requirements.
